Certification Process

Step 1: Is your business eligible to be EnviroCertified?

To be eligible, you must operate a business in a category that typically generates hazardous waste, be located in Spokane County, and agree to participate in a periodic renewal process.

Step 2: Complete an EnviroCertified application worksheet.

The application worksheet helps you to identify what you are doing, and what you can do to manage waste and incorporate best practices.

Step 3: Schedule a free, on-site consultation.

We will verify that you meet certification standards, recommend improvements, provide technical assistance and connect you to available resources.

Step 4: EnviroCertified.

Complete tasks agreed to in the Local Source Control visit. The EnviroCertified representative will then provide your framed certificate, welcome packet and promotional incentives.
